Navigated dental implant placement

Reconstruction of lost tooth no. 46 with porcelain crown and dental implant using digital planning with CT scan and digital impression. The position of dental crown (biting portion of tooth) was designed first. Next the position of dental implant was designed into the bone under the crown. Then the surgical guide was printed on 3D printer. This guide allows to place dental implant precisely to desired site with minimal intervention to surrounding tissues. After period of soft tissue healing and the implant integration into bone the impression was taken and porcelain crown fabricated. The crown is attached to dental implant using fixation screw and the hole in porcelain crown is filled with composite restorative material.
